This Privacy Policy explains how SIMPSON’S VENTURES LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as LocaleWeb, handles your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17169404, with registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ.
We are the data controller for personal data collected through the Site and in the course of providing services.

- Billing information processed by our payment providers (GoCardless and Stripe). We do not store full payment card details on our own systems;
- Website usage data (pages visited, referrer, browser, approximate location) via basic analytics;
- Any content you upload or send to us for use in your website build (text, images, logos).
3. Why we collect it and our lawful basis
Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following bases:
- Contract — to respond to your enquiries, provide services you’ve subscribed to, handle billing, and provide support;
- Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business, maintain basic security and analytics, and share Website screenshots and links in our portfolio (you can object at any time);

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect your data:
- Netlify, Inc. — website hosting (United States; safeguards in place under UK International Data Transfer Agreements);
- GoCardless Ltd — Direct Debit payments;
- Stripe Payments UK, Ltd — card payments;
- Our email provider — for sending and receiving email;
- Google Analytics (if enabled) — website analytics.
We will never sell your data or share it for third-party marketing.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers (for example Netlify and Stripe) are based in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In practice:

- Client account and billing data: for the duration of the contract plus 6 years afterwards (for accounting / tax purposes);
